Costco, TrueCar and others like it are not designed to get consumers really
great deals. They are customer acquisition tools designed to help car
dealers generate sales.
There is no such thing as getting a great price without the consumer having
to do some work and negotiation.
Make it easy on yourself. Go to the dealership in person only to test drive
and see, touch, feel the car and materials. Do not get sucked into a price
negotiation and definitely do not make a purchase.
Then make a list of every single dealership within distance you are willing
to take delivery. Email them all asking to negotiate with the internet sales
manager. Have a very specific written vehicle spec so they are all bidding
apples to apples. Request their best out the door price, including taxes,
tags, fees, everything. Refuse to talk on the phone or visit in person.
Everything only via email.
If you start with 10-20 dealers, about half will play games and not respond
with serious offers. Ignore them. The others who respond with serious offers
, you will go back and forth via email pitting the best offers against each
other until there is only 1 best offer left on the table. Put down deposit
and fill out paperwork. Go pick up the car when it's ready. The negotiation
via email is pain free and doesn't take much time. Expect maybe 1-2 weeks
back and forth to close in on your best deal. Even people who dislike
haggling or dealing with high pressure sales people can use this technique -
as long as they can write email.
Using this technique I got over 10% below MSRP from a dealership 1 hour away
. Price was way below invoice and was so low it was less than the lowest
TrueCar reported price. The only time I talked to anybody was to give them
my CC deposit. The only time I set foot into the dealership was to pick up
the car.

这种东西只能听听看或参考
就像YouTube 里很多视频又拍豪宅又晒豪车里然后让消费者买他们所谓赚钱经验的书或
课程一样 每个都说保证都让人赚钱
其实道理都一样 具体问题要具体分析 没有啥一定保证怎样怎样的
真正不变的真理只有一个 要想省钱就要舍得花时间 文中提到的不花时间就能拿到最低
价绝对是瞎扯 只能拿到相对的较低价而已 而且限于其中那几个用email报价的车行而
已。

这个虽不是所有的,但是的确是要值得注意的地方,尤其是路程较远的车行,到头来本
来是想省钱时间却多花的油钱还浪费了时间。
