发帖数: 65 | 1 today I was pulled over by police on highway 81 in VA at 9pm. The limit is
70mile/h, and I was passing a truck with 85mile/hour. after I passed the
truck, the police car followed me for a minute without turning on the siren
light. I was not sure if that was a police car, but I was slowing down to
75mile/hour. It was also a little bit down hill when I was passing the truck
. The sheriff gave me a report and let me go to the court. He said this was
an enhanced speeding and would let the court to evaluate the fine. The court
is 220 miles from my home. My first concern is how much fine I should
expect. Based on the situation, do I have a chance of pleading not guilty.
The court is general criminal court. Little bit scared.
Two years ago I got a speeding ticket in PA with fine $180. I was driving 75
miles/h on the road with limit of 55. I was not asked to go to the court, I
paid the fine.
Really worried what they are going to do in the court for this one. |

单吧，后者还是找local律师先咨询一下，如果定罪的话跟一辈子。 |

罚8点后来找了律师给弄成了0 point parking violation。另外这个律师一定要找当地
的，你在哪被罚的就搜所在地的律师，这些人一般跟当地的court都有关系所以比较好
搞定 |

will believe the officer's report. The fee is flat $600. Will try another
lawyer. |

学习交通违章和犯罪的区别。
如果只是罚点款真心不算什么，即便是几百块，毕竟只是一次性的。
你的保险将会大涨，绝不是几百块钱那么简单的事情。
