Lease transfer works like this:
BMW Financial Service will email the credit application to you. You will
fill out the application online while submitting the $500 fee, which
includes $100 for credit application and $400 lease transfer fee. The $400
lease transfer fee will be refunded if you are NOT approved. Once approved,
usually 24-48 hours, you'll receive an email saying so, and BMW Financial
Service will send you stage 2 paperwork. You must sign the paperwork they
email you and provide proof of insurance. Both parties mail the paperwork
back (overnight is best) and within another week or so (or as short as 1-2
days depending on lease transfer volume), we'll be notified by BMW financial
service that I can release the lease to you.You will get a packet in the
mail which you'll need to take to DMV for plates/registration/etc. | i******0
