发帖数: 1745 | 1 registration and inspection 明天过期，出于某些原因没有提前处理，准备明天一起
去做了（也就是registration 和 inspection 有效期的最后一天）。
但是前两天engine light亮了，于是换了oxygey sensor，引擎灯没有亮了。昨晚查网
络才得知换了oxygey sensor，很有可能会fail inspection。
如果fail 了inspection,那我明天再去renew registration还能renew吗？如果不能，
我该怎么办呢？dmv今天又关门，没法问。
明天两个都过期而且两个都不能通过的话，有人知道这种情况会怎么样吗？罚款，吊销
驾照？

可是昨晚上网看了很多sensor或者battery有问题修了后，然后去inspection 的时候，
人说很多monitor没有ready，让去修或继续开再去re-inspect，很多情况是后来怎么弄
都没办法，修车的人都说车没事，什么问题也没有，可是就是inspection的时候没有
ready，有人appeal了求test tailpipe才过了的，反正折腾的很，有人后来不知道如何
，没有回帖了。。。
还是急啊，与其如果要吊销驾照，不如把车卖了或者捐了。

“Your vehicle has certain ‘‘readiness codes’’ that are part of the on-
board diagnostics for the emissions systems. In some states, part of the
emissions testing is to make sure these codes are set. If they are not set,
the test cannot be completed. If your vehicle battery has been disconnected
or gone dead, these codes are erased. It takes at least three days of
driving under various conditions to set the codes again. To check if they
are set, turn the
ignition switch to ON (II), without starting the engine. The malfunction
indicator lamp will come on for 20 seconds. If it then goes off, the
readiness codes are set. If it blinks 5 times, the readiness codes are not
set. If possible, do not take your vehicle for a state emissions test until
the readiness codes are set.”
大概意思就是钥匙打到ignition那档，不发动引擎，然后仪表盘上那些亮着的灯20秒后
会熄灭，就证明已经ready了，不是就没有。
我检查了我的车，亮的那些灯没有灭，是不是没有ready。
如果你方便的话，may you do me a favor and 把你的车打到ignition那档，不发动引
擎，然后看看仪表盘上那些亮着的灯20秒后会熄灭吗？试完能上来说一声吗？是个什么
情况？当然如果不方便就请不用了。

发帖数: 1745 | 5 今早找了个远点的dmv，开了20多miles去那里，先在附近找了个auto zone请人帮我
scan了一遍（free的），人说everything is fine, I can go to the emission test
now...
emission test过了，然后赶紧又去renew了registration。
