my current 6 month premium for 2 vehicles full coverage:

I am in New York City area so the premium are higher. 今天空了些，去查了下，
做了个quote,Geico很恶心，if you are current a policyholder, they would not
let
you quote on the website. 所以只好把 个人信息改动点做了new quote. 发现差很多
钱，new quote is about $810 per 6 months. 怒了，打电话。 At first, the
Geico
representative said she could not check on my quote and said she had no
access, later, I think she sensed my anger as I questioned her why there is
such as big difference in premium, she gave me some excuses, 比如说说你可以
去上defensive driving to get some discounts, etc. and I gave her my quote
number, so she checked, basically the exact same coverage, actually she gave
me quote for less, 725.60 per 6 month saying I am a preferred customer, 因
为新的6 months period 已经过了1个多月，so I am due for a refund of $608.78
for this billing cycle. 这样算下来，一年可以 save $1500美元。 最后，agent还
给我推销他们 umbrella insurance,因为我没renter's insurance,没有买成，以后再
说。
请问下$1M umbrella insurance有必要么？现在只是租房。 thanks. | T*********s
