I am new to this forum. Just got my 2013 TDI sport last month, now has
400miles on it, still in break in period though. Absolutely love it so far.
This car equips 8 AT transmission, I suppose the gear shift should be
smoother.
I noticed that when driving in city or in bad traffic with frequent stops, I
can feel the car jerks sometimes, especially when I step on gas after
releasing brake. (I am not a heavy-foot person...) It never happens on my
old toyota... I would like to know if it's normal for touareg?

Please try resetting your transmission as follows:
get in car, close door, and without stepping on the brake pedal, turn on the
ignition.
once the dash finishes lighting up, without the motor running, press the
accelerator to the floor and hold it there for 10 seconds.
Release the accelerator pedal.
Turn off the ignition.
Now drive the car, with only the main, primary operator doing the driving in
the car for the next 500 miles. The transmission will learn your driving
patterns and do a much better job of shifting smoothly for you, based on
your normal driving techniques. It will shift much smoother in Drive than in
Sports mode. | l*****6 发帖数: 7881 | 2 这个就是reset ecu,然后adaptive learning。
