持要报警。警察来了记了我俩的信息，估计了一下损失，建议私了。现在情况是我俩达
成私了协议，我赔他修车钱，本来以为就到此为止了。但是今天突然收到BMV的通知，
要我提交我的保险证明，否则要吊销我的驾照。朋友的车是有保险的，但是我没有。这
种情况应该怎么处理？多谢！
BMV的通知摘录如下：
The Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) received notice that you received a
traffic citation or were operating a 2012 MITSUBISHI that was
involved in an accident on 02/23/2013. Indiana law requires that you provide
the BMV evidence of financial responsibility for the motor
vehicle involved. If verification of financial responsibility is not
received by 04/07/2013, Indiana law requires the BMV to suspend your
driving privileges, vehicle registration, or both.
Please note that if verification of financial responsibility is not received
, you will also be added to the Previously Uninsured Motorist
Registry. Drivers from the registry are randomly selected and sent a request
for proof of financial responsibility at various times throughout
the year. Drivers remain on the registry for five (5) years from the date of
the last qualifying judgment, conviction, or administrative action.
Proof of financial responsibility must be submitted to the BMV in the
following manner:
(1) If a motor vehicle policy was in effect, the insurance provider must
submit a Certificate of Compliance through the
Electronic Insurance Form Submission program located at www.myBMV.com.
(2) If a bond or self insurance surety was in effect, please visit www.myBMV
.com or call (888) 692-6841 to obtain a copy of
the required form. |
