We have a Jetta (2004) about 80,0000 miles
3 months back, we replaced the brakes at the dealer. After that, we heard
the Beep noise when pressing the brake sometimes.
Then one month back, sometimes the engine is totally shutdown when we stop
at stop sign or slow down for the redlight.
There is one time, the engine shutdown with engine light on, and we checked
at firestone, and they detected that something is wrong with oxygen sensor,
and replaced it.
After one week, we have the issues again, engine shutdown or there is beep
noise. Today, we went to another car shop, and this time the engine light is
on, and the technician found it is the "oxygen" sensor problem again. But
then they test drive it, and light is off, and everything is ok again
without changing anything
During this three month, we went to volkswagon dealer several times, but
they cannot do anything without any light on.
Now I don't know what I can do. Anybody has experiences like this or is able
to provide any information? I appreciate it. | S***r 发帖数: 12443 | | g********b 发帖数: 8461 | 3 1. When it was beeping during you depress the brake, was there any light
coming on or any message on the display?
2. The shut-off problem is most likely caused by the MAF sensor. VW MAF
sensors are prone to failure at this mileage. I would first try cleaning the
MAF sensor using MAF sensor cleaner and clean throttle body with throttle
body cleaner. These are very easy you can do it with a screwdriver and some
paper towel.
