Only the enginee cover has a little leaking oil, but not serious.
How much money for joining AAA ?
For AAA, if my car cannot run on high-way, normally, how long time AAA can
find me and tow my car ? They will repair my car or I have to repair it
myself ?

I do not know what route will be given by GPS before I am on the way.
By the way, I have 6 paper-card box with books and cloths.
It is aweful for me to move all of them to hotel when I rest.
How to handle that better ?
Any advices will be appreciated.

but you should have a simple plan:
when to eat, where to eat, book a resturant before you startup(actually,
book the room from internet is cheaper usually)

这种miles的车最好别跑远，很多问题都是很突然的，任何一个东西都有可能大寿将至
的，神车也不例外。
加入AAA是不错，就是万一出了事情你的计划就全盘乱掉了。
hotel可以在网上订，但是提前计划好今天开到哪里这样子，其实开到哪算哪随便找一
个住也可以，就是会有点小贵。
饭店就看你去哪了，去大农村的路上就靠高速指示牌上找快餐吧，要是大城市的话稍微
做点功课什么都能吃上。 |

Two months ago, I made a chek for my car. The auto garage technician told me
that my car has a problem of valve cover gashet leaking. Oil may leak from
the enginee.
But, up to now, I do not find any leaking after parking my car in a parking
lot for one night.
Is it a serious problem if I drive it for 1200 miles ?
It may cost me $150 given by the garage.
There are not other problems except this.
If I have to let an auto-shipping company transport my car, I have to mail
my 6 box by USPS, this may cost me more than $300 (I guess).
Are there other cheaper ways to mail them to a place far away from me for
1200 miles ?
Any help will be appreciated.

I suggest you take your car to some honest mechanic, tell them
straightforward you will take 1200 miles drive.
if no major problem you should be OK. valve cover gasket leaking is not a
majot problem if you check and top-off your engine oil regularly.

在google map上看好路线会穿过哪些城市，然后在某个城市定好旅馆，一般就是下高速
一点就到了，GPS就分段设不就行了
漏油的话，随车带一小瓶机油，不够了自己加点 |

mean 600 miles/day. It's about 9-10 hours driving w/ resting in between.
That's quite a bit if you are not good at driving. I know it's nothing for
many forks in the forum. However, it could be tiresome for a newbie.
I would suggest LZ break the trip into 3 days. Only 400 miles per day would
make life a bit easy for the first road trip.
Things suggested to bring w/ you:
Boost cable in case you have issue to start car
Engine oil since engine already shows some leak
Coolant
The last but not least. Check the city-data website to make sure the hotel
you book are in a good neighborhood. |
