My Passat was made in 2006, only about 26k miles on it -- I live in a small
town and drive very little. My biggest mistake is that I did not buy an
extended warranty for it.
About the repair, my airbag light was on. I am not a DIYer, so I went back
to the dealer. It turned out that some wire in the airbag system did not
work, so they only changed the wire.
It cost me $580!! Here is the good part: $48 for parts, $532 for labor!
Maybe I should not go back to the dealer, but this is a small town and there
is very few mechanics for German cars (maybe I should search harder).
Since the mileage of my car is still very low, I am afraid that this is only
a beginning. I don't know what you think, but I probably will not buy a
second VW in the near future. |

That's quite common because it's a Volkswagen. My friend's Audi A4 2.0T was
bought around 2009 or 2010 and has similar mileage with your passat but the
engine has been repaired under warranty for TWICE.

There's no cheap place to repair VWs because the parts are too expensive.

That's right but for VWs if you choose a cheap shop you might end up with
paying more because the shop might mess up something if they are not VW
specialists. Finding a VW specialist is not that easy.

5年/6万miles,whichever comes first.德国人在质保上非常吝啬,因为他们知道他们
的车质量很差。

总的来说没太大问题,我父亲十分爱护车,保养的很好。准时换机油、制动液、刹车、
轮胎,正时皮带、张紧轮8w公里就换了。
8年来灯泡自然是换了几个,原厂的胎爆了一个,水温传感器坏了一次,修的时候把水
箱还是啥的一起弄坏的,其他没出过什么差错。总的来说质量还行,但是他朋友们的车
也没出过啥问题,除了一辆audi,天天回去4s店修,最后一卖了之。、
我同学的宝马3,7W麦的旧车。买了一年多,天天修,车窗regulator坏了2个,dealer报
价300一个,最后自己动手换了,exhuast camshaft sensor坏了自己换了,drive belt
烈得一塌糊涂,张紧轮还miss了一个,换起来居然要支车,找dealer换,花了400多,
相当给力。 |

我没这么说。但是人家敢给这么多质保的肯定质量不差,不然到时候一帮人都围着
dealer要质保不得把他们烦死。反正我知道大众是不敢给10万mi质保的。

8万km=5万mile,我说过,6年/10万mi以内的车consider为新车,不出毛病是正常的。
水温传感器都坏了还说“没啥毛病”?你是不是引擎报废了才叫“出过大毛病”阿?“
除了一辆奥迪”,这一辆就足以说明问题了。VW正时皮带寿命超级短的,厂家都不敢给
出更换周期,只有Bentley Manual里面说10万mi换,可是大家都知道要是等10万mi换的
话黄花菜都凉了。
BMW毛病肯定多,尤其是BMW3。我一哥们有个BMW3,自己修的都说修不起。再说你同学那个BMW3前
任车主是不是个老黑阿肯定是他造的。
