Acura vehicles to address an airbag defect that could be fatal.
At issue is a driver's-side airbag that may deploy with excessive force
during an accident, which could cause a metal inflator casing to rupture.
The inflator casing is what stores and channels the airbag's explosive
propellant. "The propellant was packed improperly, and that allows the
propellant to burn off too quickly and it explodes, and pieces of the casing
are causing the injuries,” Honda representative Chris Martin says.
Two deaths and 18 injuries have been attributed to the defect. This is Honda
's fourth recall for the same problem; the latest effort brings the total
number of recalled vehicles in the U.S. to 2.5 million. Models included in
the latest recall are:
2003 Honda Pilot
2003 Acura 3.2 CL
2001 and 2002 Honda Accord
2001 to 2003 Honda Civic
2001 to 2003 Honda Odyssey
2002 and 2003 Honda CR-V
2002 and 2003 Acura 3.2 TL |

发帖数: 8769 | 12 不晓得，因为这已经是第四次召回同一年份的车次了，估计死一批人召回那一批次，才
过了三天已经改了三次召回数量了，从20多万增至90多万，Honda看起来根本没吸取教
训，继续耍无赖
