发帖数: 558 | 1 I kept seeing people advocate captain seat over bench in a minivan at this
forum. Personally, I think it is usually the opposite is true unless you
want to put kids in the third row. Most people here get a minivan because
they constantly need to haul three or more adults and one or usually two
kids (with their car seat). Putting two car seats on the second row, and it
becomes quite difficult for your parents to get into the third row.
Instead a bench seat is empty on one side and it is easy for people to get
in and out of the third row there. My mechanics remind me about it when I
was buying the van and he is damn right.
The only downside for me is that my son can harass my daughter sometimes. | e****t

第二排如果是bench, 一般都是60/40 split. 60那边放两个carseat 还是挺challenge
的， 我没具体试过，但就目测，一般三排座midsize suv 那个位置没办法稳稳当当放
下两个并排的马拉松。有的车中间那个位子都没有latch. 大点小孩儿的那种只有坐垫
的booster 倒是有可能。 | S****h
发帖数: 558 | 3 I have an old Dodge Caravan (2005). Its second and third row are the old-fashion benches that can be taken off
the car, not the new stow-and-go. (Actually, that is not too bad, if you have a garage to store the bench when
necessary.) Its second row bench has two seats. Both have built-in car-seat for kids, similar as the one for 1-4
year old. My son uses the one next to the door. (He seems to enjoy it more than his old regular car-seat.) My
daughter uses the regular infant rear-face car-seat on the one in the middle of the second row. (My wife usually
just take her off the car instead of the car-seat.) I feel that it should not be hard to fit my son's regular car seat
in either. |
