马路，觉得有
点奇怪，看到前面车都开过去了，就也跟着过去了。不料，后面马上跟上来一辆警摩托
，示意让我pull
over，然后非说我在intersection没给行人让路，给了个citation让过几个月去法院。
后来我开车
回去又转了一圈，发现警察说的那个intersection在距离行人大概100米的地方，堆满
了警车，就等
着抓人呢，平均一分钟一辆车就被pull over了。
我刚才在网上查到，如果吃到ticket的话，可以request a Trial by Written
Declaration。我的问题是像我这种没有ticket但是又citation的也可以request by
written
declaration嘛？

地方有100米，这种情况下，真tmd撞死这帮人都没责任。所以你们可以质疑lz说谎，但
如果lz能拿出证据证明这帮人确实没走人行道横穿马路的话，lz没责任。相反，这绝对
可以给行人开罚单。
我开车的一条路也总有人横穿，我都是能让就让的，但问题是你让他过他也不敢过啊，
2条lane以上的路，你停了别人不一定停啊，结果一堵一条lane，堵好长。 |

A. pedestrian crossing the road not at intersections are called
jaywalking.
B. Even at intersections,yield doesn't mean full stop.
here's what it says in the Vehicle Code:
21950. (a) The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a
pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within
any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection, except as otherwise provided
in this chapter.
(b) This section does not relieve a pedestrian from the duty of using
due care for his or her safety. No pedestrian may suddenly leave a curb
or other place of safety and walk or run into the path of a vehicle that
is so close as to constitute an immediate hazard. No pedestrian may
unnecessarily stop or delay traffic while in a marked or unmarked

a ticket for traffic violation, you still need to come to a full-stop to
yield them, and only pass them when you are sure it will not
endanger them. These two situations are separate.
If you do not comply, you WILL receive a ticket from the police

开车的是孙子，警察和乱穿马路的都惹不起。
行人是大爷，可以乱穿马路恶心开车的，但是万一碰上警察心情不好也有翻船的时候。

不在人行道时，行人要给车辆让路。但驾驶员仍要对行人的安全承担责任。楼上说的什
么任何情况下，行人拥有路权是不对的，行人只在人行道或十字路口有路权。
LZ的情况，可以和警察argue当时不在十字路口，行人没有路权，而且你判断了以你的
速度和距离，不会撞到行人，所以前行没有stop。 |
