away from Carmax. They will never tell you the true history of a car. You
have to be able to figure that out on your own. If you have to buy from a
dealer, get the CPO ones with extended warranty.
Here is the story:
My 2001 Civic was flooded once. Passenger side airbag was bad. And three
weeks ago it was involved in an accident and the frame was damaged pretty
bad. It would cost me around $2500 for repair and bodywork and might not be
safe to drive anymore so I sold it to Carmax for S1,700.
However, the car still has perfect CarFax or Autocheck history. After Carmax
repairs it they will definitely sell it for above $5000.
Carmax is a better place to sell your used car than buying one, IMO.
