TOKYO (AP) -- Toyota Motor Corp. said Thursday about 270,000 vehicles sold
worldwide, including luxury Lexus sedans, have faulty engines, but the
company did not say whether it would recall the automobiles.
The world's biggest automaker said the defective engines could stall while
the vehicles were moving.
Of the 270,000 vehicles, some 180,000 were sold overseas and the rest in
Japan. They include luxury Lexus sedans and popular Crown models.

此消息一出，其二手车价格要升，增加了买其车保值的可信度。
而且不会对新车的销售有任何负面影响，只要多给点rebate，0apr，买者如云。
真佩服了丰田，正面和负面的新闻都会增加其销售和可信度，值得MBA作为案例研究。

式是非常成功的，虽然非人性。（比如富士康用的是丰田模式，自杀率就上去了。）
这个品牌是靠几十年的口碑积累而成，所以才会有现在的情况：即使有问题，也挡不住
消费者的信心。
这个道理也是人生哲理：如果一个人的实力是靠多年积累（尔不是短期的迅速成长），
那么当遇到重要危机时，就容易过这个坎。 |

， 11xxxx miles。 维护容易，从timing belt 到 所有的油，刹车，我都是自己搞定。
前天给朋友搞他那辆 2007 camry le，估计很耐再买新的Toyota，铁皮比旧车差远了。

slight variations during the manufacturing process, some foreign material
may have contaminated the valve springs resulting in potential breakage.
In such a situation, there is a remote possibility that abnormal engine
