EL CAJON — A blue Toyota Prius with a stuck accelerator was reportedly
brought to a stop by the California Highway Patrol while traveling about 90
mph on Interstate 8 in San Diego County on Monday afternoon.
A CHP vehicle reportedly drove in front of the runaway hybrid and applied
its brakes.
The incident was reported to the CHP at around 1:30 p.m. as a runaway
vehicle on eastbound I-8 between Los Coches Road and La Posta.
