First Triple Quasar Discovered at W. M. Keck Observatory
Seattle (January 8th, 2007) Astronomers using the W. M. Keck Observatory
have discovered a triple quasar.
Quasars are powerful sources of electromagnetic energy, which includes radio
waves and light. They are believed to be powered by supermassive black
holes in the centers of galaxies.
While roughly 100,000 quasars and dozens of double quasars have been
