Calcite reveals the maturity of its naturalistic arts, the precious
metal ones, like gold or silver goblet and vessel, with their
geometric decorative patterns (herringbones and zigzags on rim of
goblet, rosette on the base), reflect the highly development of abstract
and symbolic concepts of expression.
