Machine could play a factor to make "Mac" slow. However, I would attribute
the performance drop largely to the change of 3D api for the new
implementation on Mac. The new implementation is based on OpenGL and it may
take a while for the devs to fine tune performance. (I guess) the
implementation on Windowns/Xbox is based on direct x.

Definitely OpenGL3.0 will be a magnitude stronger than previous 2.0. The
problem is however if the driver is able to fully support the add-on
features.
Considering the vital role of OpenGL on OSX platform, I believe Apple is
trying their best to support it on Mac - Apple has been aggressively
extending OpenGL for OSX. The problem is if such extra stuff, which
significantly speed up OpenGL'based applications running on Mac, will be
available on Hackintosh, a rip-off missing the optimization specifically for
Apple's hardware.
So I do think the said test is not scientific. Just my cents since I really
don't know how different a hackintosh and a genuine Mac are and how this
will affect running OpenGL applications on top of them.

ogl一般是支持新功能,速度不会有什么提高。 游戏(还有很多其它软件)移植版本通
常需要重新优化,也包括很多计算,这个不光是ogl的问题。这个是老游戏了,开发商不
会下很大力气优化。所以慢一点确实不说明系统效率问题。

文章发现10.6.3的OpenGL支持有regression,有些方面性能下降很多,算是bug。
但是通常情况下,Mac OS X和Ubuntu系统性能总体差不多。不同测试,有时这个快一点
,有时那个快一点。
但是游戏在Windows下一直都比Mac和Linux下快。游戏本身针对系统的优化是一方面。
系统本身对游戏性能的重视也是一方面。
