N***r 发帖数: 2539 | 1 hey guys, I am a new apple MacBook Pro user, the hostname thing really bugs
me a lot.
OS: Mac OS X Lion Version 10.7 (11A511)
When I used it in my office connecting to the company network (wired), the
hostname is (type hostname in a terminal), for example,
NStar.local
When I bring it to home, connecting to my wireless network, type hostname
again, it changes to
Nstar (without the '.local'). An interesting thing is that if I turn the
wireless off, it changes back to 'NStar.local'
Since one of my software needs a correct hostname, it won't work if '.local'
disappears from my hostname. Anybody has a solution for this?
