There are two types of companies: those that work hard to charge customers
more, and those that work hard to charge customers less. Both approaches can
work. Apple is firmly in the first camp and Amazon is firmly in the second
camp.
Just look at Apple's profit margin. I am proud to say that Apple has not
made much money from me. I bought my iPhone 2g for $300 more than 4 years
ago and iPhone 3gs for $220 from cl a year ago and has only spent $150 on T-
mobile plan for the last 4 years.

If Apple works hard to charge customers more, we should see other
smartphones selling at <$400 unlocked and Apple selling at $1000+ locked.
We should also see Apple TV selling at $200 and Google Logitech TV/Sony
Google TV selling at $50.
We should also see Apple 27" Cinema Display selling at $1500-$2000 while
Dell's selling at $500.
And Macbook Air selling at $1500-$2000 while Ultrabooks selling at $500.
But these above cases are all not true.
for Amazon, it is a sad company that has very low profit margin.
P/E ratio ~100. But that is the fate of a company that do not earn money by
creating values. Amazon earn money by retailing, which is not going to be a
high margin business.

I will probably switch to a normal iPhone plan now that Sprint will get the
new iPhone. I have been on the Sprint sero plan for almost 5 years now,
saving a lot of money, obviously. Hopefully the sero premium plan will work
with iPhone. But $50 a month for unlimited 4g data and text on the Sprint
iPhone 5 might still be too much for me...

Amazon这种公司通过挤压Seller and employee来赚钱,太黑了,他自己是seller,又有
别的公司在上卖东西,
amazon is evil company
这种公司用那种阉割的产品,低价卖,然后说自己卖的便宜,太evil
也就是骗骗广大不止真相的群众

无所谓,公平竞争,愿打愿挨。
只要不强卖,不偷我的东西,信息卖给别人,不骗人,有什么关系。
amazon当年的kindle好像也挺‘work hard to charge customers more’的。他的fire
听着到有点意思。到时候可以买个玩玩。
我们买的是公司的产品,好就买,不好就不买。今天好就买,明天不好了就换一家的买
。何必那么在乎那家公司呢。
