Apple gives $100 store credit to any iPhone users who bought their

It seems that Steve Jobs noticed the PR image damage because of the
quick and big price cut, so he tried to make it up today. Everything
should be much easier for apple if Jobs could expect the response
early and make the announcement at the time of the price cut.
