GraphicConverter is used for conversion between different image file types.
NIH Image is used mostly for scientific quantitation.
There is a small image editing program called Paiting, you can download
at http://sarwat.net/painting/. Painting is a very simple and nicely done
painting program. It has all the basic tools
and is pretty much all your average non-graphics designer will need.
