iPad: Merlin Bird ID
It helps you to identify a bird by using eBird's database on bird sightings,
plus your input on location, date, bird's color & size/shape.
It's really cool. | I***i 发帖数: 14557 | | j*****y 发帖数: 233 | 3

mostly on multi-media files.
Merlin Bird ID: (This app is really for beginners)
- if you want to use it as a simple bird field guide, you can use it without
internet connection via wifi or mobile network. The app takes up 525MB
space on my iPhone. The guide include 280+ birds info, with range map,
photos and audios.
- if you want to use it as an ID tool, you must have an internet connection.
The app will ask you the location and date of your sighting, plus size and
color of the bird. It will then query the database on ebird.org to give you
a list of possible birds as candidates. | h*h 发帖数: 18873 | | j*****y 发帖数: 233 | 10
