Just found out I passed P and FM last year. Do you guys know where to find a
part time job? I have a position right now in a totally different area. Not
very happy with current position. That's why I took exams. But don't want
to give up immediatedly before I find a new one.
By the way, usually how much to ask for a entry level position.

发帖数: 629 | 2 You don't usually have to ask for salary. If you get an offer, it will be
stated there, then you could negotiate possibily, but it also depends on the
company.
As for part-time job, I am not sure. One semester in college, I only had
classes two days a week. I already have 3 exams then, it's the first
semester of my last college year (so I thought I had a good chance, since I could potential work fulltime there in a year). No success looking for a parttime (M,W,F 8

发帖数: 109 | 3 报一下当初俺做intern 时低得见不得人的工资，每小时15刀，没有study time, 没有
exam raise, 确切地说，根本就不被列入student program。在那儿耻辱地作了5个月，
被一个美国小本女生颐指气使地boss around (没有歧视小本和女生的意思，只是那个
女生实在太bossy乐）,但收获是巨大的，作intern前找了几个月工作，基本没回音，作
了三个月intern后，我重新发简历，几乎每发每中，有一个星期，每天都有电话面世，
决不夸张。当然，这跟我进一步polish了我的resume和发简历更有针对性也有关系，但
是，我想强调的是intern太重要了，我也是非精算，数学，统计，经济专业，需要h1
sponsor, 唯一能吸引他们眼球的只有intern乐，那是只过了两门考试，在exam上应该
没有优势，但也没有劣势。两个大老板对我都非常好，但是找工作时我也没有要他们做
reference,因为当时还心存希望能够留在那家公司，扯远了，anyway, 希望对一些人有

which year was your internship for $15 per hour?
I believe that the rates have gone up a lot. When I interned, it was $14 per
hour with no exam ($1 extra per hour per exam passed) in a small midwestern
town, but not the rate is $18 per hour with no exam. There was also and
still is a $1500 after tax housing stipend for the 3 month period (which is
slightly over $2000 pre tax).
