I have a 15 month baby, couple of years in internal audit field. I just want
to know which is better for future developmemt. If I go to EY, does that
mean I will have little chance to move back to accounting later? Since I
will become too specialized. please give me more ideas and personal experience if
possible.

about not seeing your baby a lot.
If I were you I would take the nonprofit one.

from mommy.
I just left E&Y recently for family reasons. Working for big 4 is definitely
good on your resume, but not good for family. |

university?
You definately need to look for another one. I don't know. Maybe a senior
internal auditor job, or senior accountant, or financial analyst, or something similiar, which can pay you about $70k. |

发帖数: 65 | 7 Yes. I can find some internal audit position closed to 70K. However, it is
not good for me since most of these positions need high rate travel. Only
working for big four is worthy for future.
For the one in University, non-profit pays less than industries but they
have good benefits package.In addition, they have good training program to
teach me. Normally, industry seldom hires accountant only with internal
audit experience:) especially small companies. |

你specialized在哪个方面啊？跟acct相关，做acct一点问题都没有，如果跟IT相关，
就做IT好了，或者risk analysis/consulting，不必做acct啊。 |

要做acct，就做acct，为什么要做operation testing的IA啊。这两个又不相关。

发帖数: 202 | 13 应该不会啊，很多我认识的external financial auditor, external IT auditor都回
去做internal aduit了。就人数来说,operaitonal auditor在internal aduit里面也不
占多数啊，我都知道有的公司IA里面完全没有operaitonal auditor，但是必须要有
financial 和IT 啊。但是没有听说过公司里只要operation testing的啊。公司的
operation 总是和什么相关的，financial 和IT 是主要的嘛，也有compliance,那个要
对相关的law/reg 很熟悉。
也许我知道的不全面。
