说entry level的salary是不能negotiate的。。。

Now even the manager in big 4 is lower than 100k. DT's senior is only get
65k. 3-5% yearly increase in Big 4 is common now.Leave big 4 when you can |

Is it okay to negotiate for more money for entry level big 4 positions? Or

发帖数: 266 | 9 My friend got around $44K from Deloitte @ NC in 2004, but it's 6 years ago.
I think your salary is too low.
I do not think the master degree can help you.

般没什么negotiation power，反正外面同等qualification的人多的是。Master
degree也没什么特别优势。
不过正如你自己说的，目的只有一个，解决身份，同时big4 experience will be a
resume booster，所以忍了吧。 |

firm's offer to negotiate the offer? (if i do get one...)
Just wondering if anyone have experience negotiating offer with big 4...or
you have heard someone did that...

big4, then you may get $2000 more. but it ruin your reputation within the
firm (HR tell the story to managers, managers think that you are picky, not
take you on jobs)
if you are a master, you are already getting about $3000 more than other
people. (as of last year this is still the case).
if salary is your big concern, you might as well join a regional firm that
pay you higher because that's how they stay competitive. |

I am not that picky about money...just in the long-run, your future salary
will be based on your original salary.
I will probably ask HR about the compensation for my master's degree...

the whole world knows that big4 don't pay good (not good enough given the
hours) but everybody still works there for the name and wait until they get
out and get that 20%-30%-50% increase. |

many people are on the waiting list. You can't negotiate at all. Trust me.
Even you leav the firm after 3-5 years, corporation only pay an 25% extra
than in the firm. No one can get double pay now.

advices in comparing my options right now.

About your concern for future salary, don't worry too much as the rest of
the world knows you are underpaid at big 4, so any decent company will match
you to comparable peers. |

for west PA. maybe at the lower side, but you cannot compare west PA to NYC.
