researchers who question, test, make/modify or propose the rules for the
accounting profession. They are not trained to be practitioners, who mainly
follow the accounting rules.
Currently not many accounting practitioners understand who acc. phds are and
what they do. There is a limited supply of acc. phds in this country,
consequently, acc. phds are paid well even in universities: for instance, I
see a chinese acc. phd go
