人指望着Big4办绿卡的。
如果你spouse不能帮你办的话，实在没有什么必要在big 4里熬。当然如果你想回国发
展的话也无所谓。 |

Also depends on what practice you are in. Diffent handling between assurance
,and advisory , especially.

不上。。。现在面临一个新抉择，就是，要不要去申请Accounting PhD？
现在主要想问：如果拿了PhD 然后找教职，可以申EB-2 PERM 吧？高校教职的工作应该
容易申PERM 一点？而且会计找教职应该比生物，物理什么的稍微容易些（我口语还可
以）？？？
问题是我对 academic path 不是很感兴趣呀。。。最后不行了可能也由不得我。 |

发帖数: 220 | 16 去读Accounting Ph.D 是个很艰苦的过程，当然投资回报率很高。出来的薪水赶上四大
里面的Sr. Manager 的水平了。
在四大里面对communication要求高，再高也高不过在商学院里的教授的要求。如果
academic适合你的话，我相信这是个更好的前景。 |

my observation stay long enough at the firms to realize their GC dream.
I dunno about other big 4s, but Deloitte and Touche's consulting practice
does EB2 for foreign employees, including entry-level positions, b/c a
master degree is the minimum requirement in the consulting practice. For
the audit, tax and FAS practices, they do EB3 for all foreign employees
unless you come in as a manager and above. I can't speak for o |

believe working at big 4s necessary means a miserable life. i have been with
one of the big 4s many years, definitely a lot of hard work, but it's also
very rewarding. if i had to do it all over again, i won't change a thing.

I'd like to rephase what I said - when one wants to quit a job (in this case
, a job at big 4) as he doesnt feel like doing it but he cannot because he
doesnt afford to lose sth else (getting the greencard, in this instance),
sth that he sees more important, it sucks.
