recovery has not been received but is deemed probable?
而且想问问FASB的哪个statement是关于此的?

Fin 48 is a clarification of FAS109 - Accounting for Income Taxes.
If you are thinking of contingincies (probable v.s. possible), that's FAS 5
and it applies to liabilities only, which is clearly not the case here.
It's a very easy question:
Dr. Insurance pay receivable
Cr. Insurance income (or offset the loss of
the insured asset)
This is simply a receivable and I don't think there's an ARB/APB/FAS/FIN/FTB
/SFAC specially address
【在 m******3 的大作中提到】 : FIN48

b*********8 发帖数: 5 | 6 I agree with your answer.
But Where can I get more resource to support it?
Can we assume we recognizeg the loss when it happened, but we knew the
recovery is probable,so we just offset the loss ?
Does that mean we recognize a gain?
