Little Rock - Arkansas State University System President Les Wyatt has
turned down an offer of a contract extension and will resign effective June
30.
Wyatt announced his decision Friday at an ASU Board of Trustees meeting. The
board agreed to name Chancellor Robert L. Potts to serve as president until
a successor can be hired.
Wyatt became president of the Jonesboro campus in 1995. In 2006, Potts was
named chancellor and Wyatt was elevated to president of the Arkansas State
University System.
