I have posted the following message a few days ago and got
some replies, but I was disconnected for two days. So I try
it again today. I have to make the decision now. I hope some
more people will help me again. And I do appreciate all the
people that have helped me. Thank you all again!!
我目前在上海，打算今年秋季来美国读Ph.D.，现收到两个Offer：
1． SUNY at Buffalo, Economics Dept., $8400 + tuition
scholarship = $16416
2． U. of Rochester, Math Dept., $13000 + tuition
scholarship = $30352
我该选哪一个呢？
我还是想以后读经济的 |

There will be so many uncertaities in future. Who can plan it for you now?
I doubt anybody can anwser so spesific questions.

那要看情况, 如果Rochester的数学系不故意卡你, 那么definitly本校的转系
方便.
hehe, 差不多, 看你从什么角度考虑, 反正都不是太理想.

1. It will be relatively easy to transfer from a good University to a
less good one.
2. Relatively easy to transfer within a University, since you can contact
the professors face to face.
3. Relatively easy to transfer from a hot major to a less hot one.
But you have to make your decision by yourself.

the professors face to face. 不过你确信你那时真想转Rochestor?
也许你会希望一个更好的学校.
