I am surprised that it was built such a long time ago (1869) and was
originally built to honour the people died in the Japanese civil war (the
Boshin civil war). Too bad that many war criminals are now also in this
place, along with some people who made positive contribution to Japan (In my
view, the war criminals definitely made negative contribution to Japan).
