１０月２６日开始，中央电视台七套科技苑连续播出三期转基因节目《揭开转基因的面
纱》，转基因水稻专家朱桢和相声演员何云伟同台科普转基因，主持人陆梅的循循善诱
，学生们的天真可爱、节目文本的选择性解读，共同完成了这个历时７０分钟转基因科
普。
节目最后，当主持人陆梅问到，如果能够实现转基因，你们想转什么，孩子们有的回答
想变成飞鸟、想将各种食物集中、想变成鱼。这时，台上几位学生跳起舞蹈，背景音乐
是歌手王筝的《我们都是好孩子》。歌里唱着：“我们都是好孩子，最最善良的孩子。
”
中央电视台科技苑栏目的安排真是良苦用心：在节目开始前，同样是以这群学生在“北
方交通大学附属中学”上课为由头，语文课讨论“送你一束转基因花”。有学生问到转
基因是否有害？这时老师说：“同学们，我们有一个到中央电视台参加转基因技术探讨
有关的节目。”同学们欢呼，节目完了，同学们尽兴而归，估计这位同学的疑惑也消除
了，因为整期节目给转基因食物作了“无害”的辩解，而且强调转基因“有营养”。中

When we have said we were looking forward to more
excitement in the next six months in our 2006 Mid-Year
report, we were not kidding! The record shattering
$69032 raised in September 2006 is more than what
USTCAF raised in entire year of 2005. The $82467
total for Q3-Y2006 also marks the strongest quarter
for USTCAF breaking the record we just set in Q2. |

Season's greetings! I would like to share with you some good news,
with recent surge of generous contributions from enthusiastic USTCers,

renewed surge of generous giving among USTCers.
The $39,287 raised this month put total donation to
USTCAF in Y2007 above $380K beating the number
for entire Y2006 ($376K).
USTCAF greatly appreciates following alumni, friends
and corporations for their generous contribution during
November of 2007 to our efforts in helping USTC and
its people.
