台湾有些地名是一目了然, 像台北, 台南, 台东 (还有个台西, 不过
是个小小乡镇) 这些以地理位置为名称, 用不着作什么的解释.
台湾的东北角有个基隆, 是北部的第一大港, 它原来叫做 "鸡笼" 是个
有点俗气 (台语叫 "耸"), 乡土味道甚重的地名. 这多半是由原住民的
名称直接汉语化的, 后来有学问的乡绅改了这地名成 "基隆",稍微雅些.
台湾南部的第一大城市叫做高雄, 原名叫"打狗"发音大概是 DA-GAO.
日本人看了不爽 (有点不爱惜动物之意), 所以改了叫做"高雄"."高雄"
的日语发音是 TAKA-O, 跟原 "打狗" 音甚似. 是原来一个日本古城之
名. 二次世界大战时日本有艘叫做"高雄"的战舰, 就是以古城命名 (跟
台湾的高雄没有什么关系). 台湾光复之后, "高雄" 就续用下来至今.
不过发音成了汉语的 KAO-XIONG, 从此失去了和原住民发音的联系.
九六年中国飞弹试射落在台湾东北三貂角的外海. "三貂"的台语发音有
点像 SAN-DIO, 这是西班牙人取的名字. 十七世纪荷兰人和西班牙人分 |

邵翼泽同学于2010年本科毕业于中国农业大学生物学院，曾是佛罗里达州立大学生物学
的一名博士生。2014年四月，年仅二十四岁的他确诊为急性骨髓性白血病（AML），去
年九月份骨髓移植后效果不好，有残留的癌细胞，去年十二月再次进行了化疗，但后来
出现肺炎、心脏血凝结块等问题，使用广谱抗药效果不佳。今年二月转院至德州休斯顿
的医院继续接受治疗。
非常遗憾的告诉大家，邵翼泽已于2015年5 月19日在德州MD Anderson Cancer Center
病逝。希望他在另一个世界继续延续他的灿烂笑容，风趣幽默，祝一路走好。
翼泽的告别仪式将于美国时间5月23日下午2点在休斯顿永福殡仪馆举行，如果可能，请
送他最后一程。
