说起小孩子骑车，突然想起一件搞笑的事：
上个月在Raleigh的Farmer's Market举行了一次自行车赛，和很多比赛一样，这个比赛
同时带有给慈善机构募捐的目的。与一般的自行车赛不同的是，这些参赛的鸟人们用的
是自己家小孩子的童车！而且还要按万圣节的调调把自己打扮起来。

Seth Vidal, just 36-years-old, was killed by a hit-and-run driver while
riding his bike in Durham, N.C., last night.
He was hit from behind at around 9 p.m. and pronounced dead upon arrival at
the hospital, reports WRAL.com.
Vidal was a well-known engineer for software company Red Hat, a company with
a meritocracy culture where engineers like Vidal hold enormous respect and
power.

Fayetteville, N.C. — Police said Thursday that a homeowner who shot and
killed an intruder last weekend wouldn't face criminal charges.
Jerry Riley, 54, of 593 Tokay Drive, said a stranger confronted him as he
entered his home Saturday night. Riley said he pulled a handgun on the
intruder, and the two men then struggled over the gun.
The gun went off, and the intruder took the pistol and ran out of the house,
police said.

SEATTLE — Police said a man accidentally shot himself in the testicles at
a Lynnwood department store. Police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said the
man was carrying his handgun in his waistband and it accidentally went off
about noon Sunday.
She said he was wounded in the testicles and also in his leg and foot. No
one else was hurt.

Pennsylvania adult book store with a toy gun didn’t fool a clerk, who told

Man charged with shooting Garner motorists
GARNER, N.C. — Garner police arrested an 18-year-old Raleigh man on
charges that he shot at two occupied vehicles Wednesday night, injuring
two people.
Police said that Pullen fired at three motorists along Garner Station
Boulevard, near Junction Boulevard, around 9 p.m. A driver who wasn't

twice after buying a sandwich at a New Haven deli went home and ate his
lunch before going to the hospital. Miguel Soto said he was leaving the

prompted by road rage, Raleigh police said Thursday.
Kyle Fiske, 23, of Raleigh, and Danielle Johnson, 20, of Cary, were
