来自主题: EnglishChat版 - would turn (roll) over in one's grave
Definition: be very upset (This expression refers to what a dead person
would do if he/she found out about something that he/she
would strongly object to.)
Note: This expression is always used in a hypothetical sense,
what if and would. After all, you cannot say that someone(really)
turned over in his grave.
Sample: If my grandfather saw me now marrying someone of different
religion/race, he would turn over in his grave.

are you trying to say would have been, or would've been?
If you are going to say would have been, then articulate each word clearly
and don't slur them together. Do this if you are doing a presentation or in
a more formal setting.
If you are going to say would've been, then sure, slur them together...

To be precise, the AP triggers AOS, which overrides H1 visa. HOWEVER, you
can still renew your H1, and once H1 is renewed, you are back to H1. So even
if 485 was ever rejected, it would be safe. This is a gray area indeed,
though.
This is totally different from using an EAD. Once it's used, but the 485 was
ever rejected, one would be out of status immediately, and there would be
no way to renew a H1. This is not safe.
