In November 1988 Robert Tappan Morris, a Cornell University graduate student,
launched an internet worm that spread like wildfire, infecting thousands of co
mputers and causing servers to crash.
The worm landed Morris three years of probation, 400 hours of community servic
e and a $10,000 fine. The incident wound up in the history books as a watershe

NASA Releases Stunning Animation of Earth at Night
SAN FRANCISCO—This incredibly detailed 360-degree view of Earth at night
was unveiled during a December 5 presentation at the American Geophysical

I bought the mission craze for both my wife and I last week, and went to buy

Crews clear Idaho Highway 55 mudslide

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Idaho Highway 55 has reopened following a large mudslide
that blocked the route connecting Boise and McCall for two days.
The Idaho Transportation Department opened the road about 7:30 p.m. Saturday
after crews cleared about 6,000 cubic yards of debris that included mud,
rocks and trees.
