下午国债就无缘无故的迭跌不休，谣言传来说是中国降低了美债的信用评级，交易大厅

pedals on 2001 through 2006 model-year Ford vehicles has widened, and may
reach as many as 1.9 million vehicles according to The Associated Press.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has received 14

if you refer to the credit markets -- commercial papers/corporate bonds/MBS/
high-yield bonds, the return is determined by both risk-free interest rate (
i.e. Treasury etc) and credit spread (i.e, chance of default /bankrupcy).
During the crisis last year, credit spread widened dramatically -- some part
of the credit market literally forzen in the mid of the panic.
While, the tide turned and credit spread narrows this year (so far). |

when bp's stock price went up, a reflection of market's optimism towards the
company, the yields on all its notes with maturity ranging from 2011 to
2019 all went up as well, which is a indication of pessimissm. when the

this board thought 7.3% debt yield is a very expensive way to raise money
for BP. Buyer misjudges because they still rely on the credit rating agency
to tell them if the bond is investment grade or not. If they do the debt
offering in May (while their rating is still intact), they could easily
raise enough money to handle the liquidity issue.

with ytm at 8.09 and current yield at 6 maturing in 3 years, there is a lot
of risks priced in here for the creditors. interestingly, folks are only
debating whether bp should cut common dividends. so it seems to me that if
one is willing to bet that bp is not going bust, or that british politicians
will not let an national icon to fall, the debt is a more sure bet than the
common stock, given that the total cost is still unknown. |

that is your choice. To me, the revenue that the states have compares with
their debt service, well, there is no comparison. And too bad you cannot "
bank run" a state.
My best trade? I did not make trade other than DCA, and rebalancing during
the 2009 tax time. Yep, I was lucky, tax time is just around the market
bottoms.

1. Inflation expectation rose causing treasury yield to shoot up in Nov.
2. The muni spread over treasury widened due to credit risk concerns.
Many (including Gross) said Muni market is overeacted. But I'm still waiting
the price to drop further so that I'll have a little safety margin to get
in. The credit risk concerns are real and they may still be shoes to drop.

treasury note will spike, when FED said that it will hold interest rate to 0
-0.25% range. What is happening right now is the dramatic increase of long
term rate in anticipating of tapering and eventual end of QE3. The yield

not raise interest rate until unemployment rate decreases to 6.5%, and

Of course there is always possibility. In 2006, Fed jacked the short term
interest rate up to 5%, hoping to cool down overheating economy.
Fed will act to increase the short term rate either to suppress high
inflation or to discourage lending. However,for now, Fed is worrying about
deflation and wants to encourage lending. I see no catalyst to see the
yield reversal. But yielding widening is quite likely. |

1. 里面的公司破产，自然是要下跌
2. 涨利息，要下跌
3. credit spread widen，要下跌
就目前来看。Interest rate处于历史低位，而且马上要缩表等，一会会上升。另外，
credit spread也很tight。所以千万不要贪图什么“免费”让你买这种小便宜逆势而为
，会亏大钱。 |
