Silver dollar city玩了两天，下面有个巨大的cave。
Whitewater一整天，从开门玩到关门。
看了N个show：Broadway/Glee，Magic，Country，Variety，还有上海杂技团
Tower of Inspiration上坐Zipline下来，然后参观小说《The Shepherd of the Hills
》的发源地。
Branson Landing有很多店，sales tax竟然比湾区还高，纯粹宰外来游客。
每半小时一次的音乐喷泉，配着大火炬，很奇怪。 |

可能我们玩的太速度了，我们去FL的Disney，可以一天把一个园都玩完，本来傍晚还想
再进一个园子，但是要一个人再加50左右，我们才没去。
我就是觉得那的show也不够大气，不像LV的那些，看着特有魄力。

带着强烈的国家公园情结，尽管之前看到一些人说大雾山是很无聊的一个，我还是计划
着去看一看。之前在American Patriot Getaway订了cabin，大部分都是有打折的，订的
早的话可以折半的，2b大概每天150刀左右。又在raft in the smokies预订了whitewat
er rafting，每人30多一点儿。
周五下午一点去取了租的车，KIA SORENTO的SUV，本来不想租棒子车，不过Alamo那儿只
有这辆AWD的Mid-size SUV了。大概三点半从学校出发，上I-64向IL前进，在IL那边还目
睹了一场惨烈的车祸的处理现场，几辆车烧毁，一辆大卡车斜在路上，之后的车堵了好
多英里。后来在网上看到事故报告，还好没有人死亡。路上也有一段有堵车，我们就迅
速换到local过了那段。行进大概八个小时到达Gatlinburg，由于之前打好了 |

We already setup a plan coming to NJ, PA around Memorial long weekend.
We want NJ&PA become our next important whitewater kayaking(much more
exciting than rafting )base after Connecticut and Colorado ones.

Mongaup is different. Mongaup is more "fastwater" than whitewater. You are
absolutely right, with such fast moving current, all we need to do is
maintaining the boat forward straight.
Yet, the skinny paddle you used last time had little effects on boat and it
was more for taking pictures.
Also, the boat you two used was a canoe. Canoe is more stable. Kayak is a
whole different thing. Once you are on a kayak, you could tell. |

hearted volunteers/participants, I had my best labor day last weekend.
As a big paddling fan, I'd like to hereby make my drifting memory more
organized and share with my friends in NY.

A sound boat bottom is crucial for a paddler. Avoid any possible damage.
Never drag/push any boat on land if you can carry them.
Paddling is all about team work. Never paddle alone. It takes more than one
people to carry/protect boats.
The right way to carry the boat.
1.There is one grab in front and one in the end of the boat.
2.Putting your paddle in the boat when carrying them. |

group. This paddler in very back of team should be familiar with rescue
skills and respond as soon as less experienced people get into trouble.
More often than not, the middle boat should also take the above
responsibility whenever required.
For the above trip, one double boat was trapped among rocks for a little
while right at the beginning of a rapid. Fortunately, nobody fell into water

I was at the end of a rapid and the current was still so strong. It was
impossible for me to paddle against the current. I had to keep my boat in
this position to keep my location.
Remember, the current is underneath and is much stronger than it looks from
the surface. If you fell into water, don't try to do anything against the
current force. And it practically makes LITTLE difference if you can swim or
not. |

The person sitting in the back is always much more efficient to control the
boat. Always let the stronger one take the back seat.
The person sitting in the front is supposed to watch out, inform the back
seat anything significant ahead, and also direct the moving of the boat.
Neither me or the girl was wearing a helmet. It could be really dangerous if
anyone fell into water. At the time when this picture was taken, I ran the
trips several times already |
