在我看过的例子里，很多单纯做dry lab 的地方对数据的来源和质量的理解
以及对数据分析的深度都比不上那种两者都做的组。
从长远来看，学术界和企业界对dry,wet两者都有经验的人需求更大。所以在这点上最
好不要盲目排斥bench work.只要不是让你去养老鼠，其他bench work可能没有你想的
那么辛苦。 |

家的。想去工业界，最好就是去纯的计算lab，各种算法，统计，找工作，没人会问你

报一下。我是生物医学，用细胞老鼠做实验那种，主要申请medical school和basic
science department教职，所以经验也就是局限在这个方面。
第一篇：不说专业的排名都是耍流氓
先谈一下大学分类，
感觉大家普遍说的前30，前50，tier 1，tier 2 很没有参考价值，所以抛砖引玉提出
一些看法。
如果不介意说专业，那引用 US News专业排名还是有参考价值的；
如果不想说出自己的专业，研究性大学我觉得可以这么分：
第一类：藤校加几个顶尖私立：MIT，斯坦福 等
第二类：顶级公立和知名私立：U Michigan，UC Berkeley ，U Chicago等
（分的再粗一点第一类和第二类可以合并）
第三类*：不属于一和二，但属于Association of American Universities（AAU）的60
所大学。个人觉得学校能进AAU就保证了研究实力。一些US News上排名很靠前的教学型

I know someone posted a few days back that Wet Seal had 50% off clearance

我总结一下吧，只算本世纪的车，考古的不要，小作坊的不算：
Aston Martin V8 Vantage系列用的V8都是，但5.9L V12，包括V12 Vantage的，都还是
wet sump
他家的V12只有One-77那个是dry sump
Audi家R8所有的引擎都是dry sump，C6 RS 6的twin turbo V10也是dry sump
原来的6.0L NA W12，用在A8和VW的Phaeton、Touareg上，也是dry sump
但现在的6.3L版本是否还是dry sump不清楚了，Audi貌似也没有明确的说过
除此以外的Audi/VW引擎都是wet sump了
BMW家没有dry sump的，过去S54B32和S85B50是semi-dry sump
有类似dry sump帮助回收缸盖内的机油的油泵，但是回收的机油还是收集在油底壳，没
有游离在引擎外的机油箱
随着这两个引擎退役，现在所有的BMW引擎都是wet sump了
Bugatti的W16当然是dry sump

做geneBank数据库这样的，完全可以不要；如果涉及biology function研究，就我了解
的圈子来看，Wet lab和bioinformatics都有的通常比只有bioinformatics的做得更顺
利些。
但是每个人背景不一样，不可按自己的背景去评估别人，也不要依据别人的背景来做自
己的决策。如果一路上来都是纯计算机、数学、物理等，可能很难经营好一个wet lab
，不碰也罢。理论研究也有很多方向，不同方向对wet bench的依赖程度不同，完全可
以选择做那些不需要wet bench的方向、充分发挥自己在数理方面的优势。如果有过生
物实验经验、后来一段时间专做bioinformatics，能有一个wet lab应该会是好事，尤
其如果自己数理方面并不是特别强的时候。
Bioinformatics也好，wet bench也罢，都是研究手段或工具，不必硬把两者分得清清
楚楚。其实就算两个都做，也不一定就可以被看作贪心或不够专注，很可能是实验室所

我开始也是力竭，多穿两次就适应了，感觉穿着跟作弊一样，还有一种无袖的，要不买
