是期望的。
如果你想做faculty，他实验室publication很强，50％的postdoc3－5年都做了faculty
，他就是个疯子又怎样呢！疯也就陪他疯个３，４年。说回来，一辈子能够和＂疯子＂
大科学家相处一段时间其实本身也是一个＂传说＂。 |

过吗？我可是亲眼目睹了他把一个娇小的法国女孩的大箱子从楼上扔下来的情景，轰隆
轰隆的，很是壮观，第二天其他五个室友一起写信去告他的状。这个人的恶名在那个变
态集中营都是响当当的，当然比我老板还有他姘头的功力还是差了几分。陪疯子玩几年
？不怕自己几年之后被虐的抑郁，变态？

如果说他做的方向得重要性的和他的成就，应该高于饶毅和程和平，跟谢晓亮比不好说
，但是谢又没有全职回来，所以他做这个主任是合理的．
而且他这一回来，估计国内可以跟Wendell Lim合作了，可喜可贺，中国总算摸到世界
最前沿的边了 |

里面被引１０００以上基本都是神作了。。。
王晓东最多的一片也就是５０００，但是那是生物，完全不是一个数量级的。
交叉没什么不对的，未来的科学都来源于现在的交叉，现在的科学主流都来源于过去的
交叉，我始终觉得Wendell Lim的方向未来会成为生物学的关键，Tang Chao一直跟他合
作来者，这个很重要。 |

经一样
但感觉他的东西在概念上可能更重要：understand by building。可是真去看他做
MAPKpathway，还是没有解决这个pathway的根本问题：specificity。

发帖数: 1089 | 46 是啊。我今年的经验。做植物能找到位置的有两种：
一大牛组里，做热门方向的，尤其是跟系统生物学沾边的。这种容易去好学校。
二要么做的东西很应用，很多小点的州立很喜欢。这些州立都是基于早期的农业大学发
展出来的。对应该型研究，做各种不同作物，经济作物，抗病抗虫很喜欢。
有些学校就是追着大牛组里的人。
去年加州一个分校offer先给大牛组里的A，A去了别的学校。又给了同一个组里的B。
今年princeton面试candidate里数数看有多少个Wendell Lim组里的。
人家就是领着这个潮流，学校都知道这些人不管能力如何，做得方向至少未来多少年文
章和grant都是有保证的。 |
