（一）杨继绳的墓碑的调查完全不可靠，属于文学作品。
我们暂且不论杨继绳在创作墓碑时，调查饿死人客观依据是什么，先来讨论一下他的方
法论。杨的《墓碑》写了好几百页，但是其中没有哪怕一页解释过调查方法论。该书的
研究思路基本可以概括为：
这个县死了XXX个
那个县死了XXX个
累计起来有上千个例子。
然后呢，全国饿死了3600万。
所以关键的问题就是：杨继绳如何能够根据上千个人名，推算出全国饿死3600万？如果
这种方法也能行得通，是不是只要走访各地监狱，采访一下在押的强奸犯杀人犯，罗列
出1000个案例，然后就可以推论出中国有3600万个强奸犯杀人犯？就可以推论出当前的
中国政府掩盖了中国有3600万强奸犯和杀人犯的事实？
事实上呢，Kahneman, Slovic & Tversky 1982一书的第一章，就提到一种常见的调查
错误，也就是对样本规模不敏感，拿小样本推广到大样本。对于三年自然灾害饿死多少
人这种涉及到六亿人的大样本，要么随机抽样，要么做挨家挨户的census。否则只拿几

非常非常好的入门资料 建议看3遍以上!
这是1里面提到的资料 是Harvard web app课的最后一节 讲scalability 里面会讲到很
多基础概念比如Vertical scaling, Horizontal scaling, Caching, Load balancing,
Database replication, Database partitioning 还会提到很多基本思想比如avoid
single point of failure
再强调一遍 非常好的资料! |

they give you 50% off, still 100% gross profit (2 times).
I agree that $15K is not a big deal. Think about a Malibu (GM car)
worth $16609. If you have your own house, you have to buy a lot
of furniture. It is really a headache.
