如何修改在一个page上的一句话？
现有背景：
别人制作的网站，没有源文件，但是可以login webhosting，所以应该可以下载index.
html和相关文件。
可否用MS publisher只修改这个网页的修改这句话，然后重新upload上去？如果可以怎
么实施？
如果Publisher不行，还有没有其他办法？或者其他软件能打开index.html修改并生成新
的page？
下载这个网页打开以后很多button图片都没了，不知道为什么。求指教，多谢 |

but it's sql server service is not very flexible, you can ask them to backup
your database, which takes 24 hours to turn around and they do not restore
database from any of your own copy. which may or may not be a problem for
you. |

ftp不好使，网上的文件不能直接存取。比如你一个word文件放在云上，ftp还得
download到本地再打开，存在本地再手动更新上去。webdav可以直接支持网络访问。

的，价格通常只有On demand instance的1/10。其他的webhosting好像没有这种类型的
服务。
另外，如果我记得没错的话，到64G那种的Instance，resource应该都是dedicated，和
普通vps还不同。 |

stability, speed, email account. So far the stability and speed of yahoo is
good for me and Yahoo has the best email system and interface. I agree that
you can find $6/month for 2GB. But according my understand the difference
between 6$ and 12$/month is not big. Other factors are more important than the
6$ difference per month. |

And I also agree with you that $6 and $12 are not that much different.
I have no experience with yahoo. But the best thing that my host provides is
allowing me to ssh to the remote machine. With this capability, I can make
nearly full control of my site, plus run scripts (shell, perl, and etc).
Make a good choice of your hosting, I am sure nobody want to change his host

SSH is provided to me (after I requested). Apache? I never used, no idea
about it.
http://www.getyourhost.com is my hosting, and also is where I register my
domain. So far, I have never encountered any kind of difficulty with them.
Everytime I check my site, it is always there and looks exactly as expected.

like to upload my own scripts, don't want to be limited to use the provider's
script/style/tools.
And what is about to design the database tables by myself (or friends :),
instead of using the provider's one?
I have just checked some web hosting providers, it's much more expensive with
a SSH access than the one without SSH. lzhang is really lucky to get his SSH
by just one call. I don't think I will get the same luck tho |

friends can work together on it without sitting infront of your machine
together.
as to the scripts, all providers give you ftp access. You can always prepare
your scripts on a local machine and upload it. So it is not a big deal for not
having a SSH connection. But, it surely is more convenient to vi files on a
remote machine and see the effects instantly.

一个2g带宽的webhosting，一年也不过几百刀
加在一起大概也就是500刀一年，足够了
也就是一个公司小职员几天的工资而已
一个大公司，这点钱都出不起，那还办什么公司啊
如果出得起，何必去租用别人的计算资源？
就算能从500刀降低到20刀，又能有多大区别？
这个概念从提出的那一天起，我就没什么兴趣
到今天cloud也还是很扯淡的东西
我觉得web的东西泡沫成份非常大
上一次it泡沫就是web搞出来的
如果有下一次，估计还是web |
