While no licenses are required on Free Fishing Weekend, other rules such as
season closures, size limits and bag limits will still be in effect. For
example, no crab fishing will be allowed in Puget Sound during Free Fishing
Weekend, because no areas will be open for crabbing at that time |

这次去的Mason Lake属于National Forest。楼上的National Park Annual Pass是可以
cover的。
狮子说的将要收费的是华州的state parks。National Park Annual Pass管不着。只能
买Discover Pass
补充一点，如果不去state park而是去WDFW和DNR，跟着钓鱼证一起来的VUP应该可以cover |

但是这个30刀Discover Pass是华州发的，用于所有华州DNR场地，包括State Park州立
公园、WDFW渔猎部、DNR自然保护区等：

两种Pass互不涵盖，两种都去得多就要都买。
另外大家千万注意！现在联邦森林的Ranger开始给没买Pass的车开55刀的罚单，据说以
前他们只开出通知让你补交5刀的day use fee。这次我们去爬山就有两个车有NPS年票
，但没悬挂吃了罚单，另外两个车也没挂就没有被罚。

发帖数: 6896 | 14 一、如果你要去州立公园 (state park)，必须买 Discover Pass，详情请看楼上所给
的链接。你可以买 Discover Pass 的 annual pass，或在州立公园入口处买 day pass
，十块钱。至少我去过的两个州立公园都有现场卖。
二、如果你要去的地方属于联邦的 national forest，你要事先买 Northwest Forest
Pass，现场没有得卖。
Discover Pass 与 Northwest Forest Pass 可以在 Fred Myer, Big-5, Sports
Authority, Sports Emporium, Creekside Angling 等店里头买得到（但 Bellevue 市
区的 Orvis 没有得卖）。Northwest Forest Pass 在 ranger station 也可以买得到
，但 ranger station 不是很多，不容易找。当然网上也可以买。
三、如果要去的是 National Park 国家公园，国家公园入口处有卖 day pass，当然也

发帖数: 6896 | 15 淡水执照即可。买的时候记得要店员一并给你一张 Catch Record Card，不用钱的，但
必须带在身上，钓到鱼了而且准备带回家的话，必须当场填写，明年四月一日的时候寄
回 WDFW。像这种热门地方、热门时间，game warden 常常会去查。
说起带回家，如果你不准备带回家的话，根据规定，如果你打算当场放生的鲑鱼不得将
它托离水面，必须当它还在水中的时候就拿下钩子放走。（不过有时候碍于钓场地形限
制，实在做不到） |

跟你说，照美国的人的做法，如果你很关心某件事情，你就去参与，比如说你可以想办
法立法阻止钓三文鱼，或者让钓三文鱼的规定更严格。你先前讲的那个大坝的 project
，就是因为某些保护团体的强力运作的结果。 WDFW（华州的鱼类及野生动物部）常常
面对来自多方的压力，既要顾到印第安部落的传统经济利益，也要顾到钓鱼活动所带来
的经济利益甚至就业机会，当然还要考虑永续发展等等。如果你有兴趣有时间，可以考
虑去参加某个保护团体。 |

re just too afraid to do anything wrong.... Well, in my case, I put salmon
back not because I was afraid of anything, a ticket from WDFW is nothing. It
's just that.... frankly, this may sound funny but I start to like this
place, I want to keep this place as loveable as when I first saw it. |

官网有统计的，六七月是高峰，Sockeye每天的量能以千计，现在已经没几条了。

到九十月，可以看Chinook and Coho，不过根据我以往的经历，鱼的数量没有Sockeye
多。

发帖数: 6896 | 39 比如说 bass 是 5 条，没有大小限制。你坐在湖边公园的码头上钓鱼，旁边摆了个小
水桶。钓到 bass 后就放水桶里，活的。你钓了 3 条，钓到第 4 条时，比较大的一条
，你决定把前面比较小的一条放走（活的），于是你还是有 3 条。
在任何时间，你水桶里都不得有超
过 5 条 bass，活的与死的。
这只是个人理解，我很少带鱼回家，所以关于这方面的规定没太留意。你最好打电话或
写信给 wdfw，他们的客服还不错。

livewell until a daily limit is in possession."
这是说你可以把它们放在水桶里，或船上有水的隔舱里，你可以捉捉放放，只要水桶里
你所保留的数目不超过每日上限。例如，bass 的每日上限是 5 条，你的水桶里已经有
5 条了，现在你钓到第 6 条，这条很大，你决定把先前钓到的其中一条比较小的放走
。只要它还是活的，你可以把它放走，这样你还是只有 5 条。
可以这样捉捉放放的只有 bass 与 walleye。
达到每日上限以后，你还可以继续钓鱼。
"STEELHEAD may be caught and released until the daily limit is retained."
注意这里没有提到 livewell，也就是说，当你钓到 steelhead 时，必须当场决定是放
是留。如果要放就立即放走，不能先放水桶里等下再放走。或者换个说法：要放必须立
即放，你一旦决定要留，就不能再放。

刚才停下来一辆卡车，下来两个男的，问他们我是不是跑错地方了？他们說是这里没错。
我现在在一个 WDFW 的停车场，unpaved，也顺着 trail 走了一圈。 Nothing! 等过几
分钟那两个老包走回来，再看看他们找到什么没有？
