我看见waverly在physics又发了一篇. 这个事情我是有想法的---前几年CS那么热,
物理的人转计算机的话, 很大量学分都能转过去. 所以一般都是一年毕业(两个
硕士, 物理一个, CS一个). 这样短平快的事情, 最后留在物理系的, 不外三种人:
a)懒鬼; b)不喜欢计算机; c) 绝对喜欢物理学.
我和这三种都有点差别, 比较算第四种. 可我也不是那种为了兴趣就什么都不顾的
人. 虽然说物理出来工作比较难找, faculty竞争那更是非常惨烈. 但是我一直没觉得
读物理会导致完全悲惨的结果---比如faculty无望, 工作也找不到. 物理PHD基本上是
个万金油, 找到个位置是迟早的事.
比如以我们这里为例吧. 我有个labmate转计算机了, 如今毕业, 正好CS惨淡. 不知道
她最近是否找到工作了. 可是如果不转, 她的项目是强生支持的. 而且她的项目如今
引起了US Genomes的一个作sequencing的组的兴趣. US Genomes的这个组雇佣的一些

If you need visa, do not need worry about H1B or J1, waver is just easy.
If you get match, you should consider how to change your visa, staying at us
or going back to China. But no one can say which one is much safer. Need

type is not eligible for change to j1 physician visa. So I guess for USCIS,
as long as you waived your j1 research visa before, no matter what status
you are now like h or f, you are not eligible for a change to j1 physician

Walmart employee scholarship一年$2000嘛，第一年我什么都没有申请亏大了！
学校里面的一个一年$700也聊胜于无。上个学期拿到我们学院的一个$2500这个数目大
些，我一个师兄拿到$5000!
然后就是每年早点报税三月1号之前申请政府的学生贷款，可以拿到$1000 tuition
waver，这个我也是头2年没有申请亏了！然后就是夏天刚去的SNPhA拿了一个小奖。看
着walmart的1万刀大奖跑掉真是郁闷呀，我也被电话interview了，可惜还是没有进
regional finalist.
不过我的involvment也真的没有人家多，思想也还是比较狭窄哈！这次去开会受到很多
启发，现在可以申请我们系最后2年$6000X2的奖学金，我准备厚着脸皮试一试哈！
想想以前读生物，根本不用这么费劲，学费全免还有生活费。以前怎么就生在福中不知
福呢？哎！ |
