Nasa agrees ice has been lost in the Antarctic Peninsula and the Thwaites
and Pine Island region of West Antarctica.
But says the gains elsewhere, which total 200billion tonnes a year, outweigh
all these losses of 65billion tonnes a year - leaving a net annual
Antarctic ice gain of 135billion tonnes.
