方。去哪里都没什么区别。要么上295，要么上nj-tp。买东西，我反正只去这么几个商
店：美东，朝鲜h-mart，shoprite，aldi，produce junction。住在cherry hill还是
voorhees，没什么不一样。坐patco的方便程度也差不多。
我没孩子，不是很清楚学校的事情。south jersey就那么有数的几个好校区，
haddonfield， cherry hill east, morrestown, voorhees...对于上进的华人学生来
讲，都是一样的。没有质的区别。

方便，但是295往北去Princeton比较堵。
另一个要考虑的是同样是好学区West Windsor的房子比Cherry Hill和Voorhees(好像南
边离费城近的好的学区就这么两个了，有知道的大家可以补充）的房子贵很多(几乎翻
倍)。 |

elementary. voorhees has great blue ribbon school too, like ET Hamilton.
Moorestown has good school as princeton according to njmonthly.com. all
these three places are convenient to Philly. You know a number of Eagles
player live in Moorestown.

others $5. Take rt 73 to Tacony bridge to work in north philly. Take Rt 70
to Ben Franklin to work in central philly. Take 38 or 295 to Walt Whitman
bridge to work in south philly. Live in cherry hill east, marlton, voorhees,
mt laurel. Do not live in camden, pennsauken, oaklyn, collingswood,
merchantville and maple shade. |

1500 可以租 moorestown.要买房，你看看Eraser ct,Moorestown,不过那是2 Bedroom.
要是不怕地税稍高，可以在 Cherry Hill East 的 Rt 70 by Springdale rd那里 买
个40万以内的，小学是 Richard Stockton elementary.剩下的 Mount laurel 也还不
错，房子地税都便宜。

Villege and Echloen apartments close to the pacto station, about 10-15m
walking to the station. Driving is not a good idea, traffic is terrible, I

10/10/08 补充：1，感谢遥望兄弟的提醒，在费城上班，住在新州可以省税。费城的城市税很高。住在新州可以用费城税抵新州税。最后可以得到几十块钱的退税。如果住宾州，不但不返还，反而还要在费城税基础上加宾州税。2，新州汽油比宾州那边低2-5毛钱不等。3，与住在城里，尤其是大学城周围的房子相比，还有一大好处是，绝对没有老鼠和蟑螂。4，新加了房子二的照片，在下面跟贴里。

一栋4居室房子，在voorhees。地点在echelon mall旁边，离patco车站很近。其中一个
卧室出租。我家就我和老伴俩人。
租金：$500/月。不用另外交utilities。
租住此房有诸多好处：
1）价格。同样价格在south jersey恐怕连studio都租不下来。500块钱可享受带独立前
后院的4居室大房子中除主卧以外几乎所有区域。
2）提供简单家具。只需带着行李来就可以了。此外，我们夫妻注重家居，此房装修布
置比大多数租赁的房屋强。下班回家后充分享受温馨感觉。也有一个理想的学习环境。
3）房客享受独立超豪华卫生间。绝对不是夸张，远远好过主卧的卫生间。大理石地面/
墙面，顶棚暖灯（冬天洗澡太舒服了）。
3）不用签lease。随时可以搬走（当然要提前1个月跟我打招呼）。
4）院内停车位。
5）免费使用所有utilities，洗衣，有线电视、高速上网、电话（含国际长途），而不
需要额外付费。
6）小区内有条件非常好的公共图书馆。里面有不少中文图书期刊和音像带，完全免费。

而已经毕业，并且在费城市中心上班的人，很少住在城里。比如本人，还有本版活跃分
子YAOWANG、鱼苗等选择住在城外NEW JERSEY的PATCO沿线地区。PATCO是连接费城市中
心和SOUTH JERSEY的最大公交干线，日载客量上万。也就是说，在费城上班，住NEW
JERSEY是一个非常有吸引力的选择。
它的好处如下：
1，经济
1）城外的房租要比城里便宜许多，而且住房质量也高，环境也好。
2）城里很难有免费停放你的BUG的场所（包括你的住处以及工作单位）。
3）住在新州可以免缴宾州州税
你所花的代价仅仅是每天的公交费用（4-6元不等）。
2，方便
单程30分钟（假设你单位旁边有PATCO车站）。高峰期3分钟一趟车。比 费城市内的公
交线路车次多。如果住城里，以我同事为例，步行或骑车时间也要十几二十分钟。
铺垫了这么多，下面开始播放广告。
本人正在出租1间卧室。地点在VOORHEES，NJ。正好在PATCO总站（列车行使到费城的总
站需要25分钟，绝对有座）。小区绝对好，房子也很优雅。有地方停车。

lived there when i first moved to the philly area.
