There are 2 versions of NX, one is freeNX, another is demo version from
nomachine ltd,
the limitation is that you can only build up 2 accounts in one server for
this demo version
but it has less bugs. FreeNX is an open source correspondence of NoMachine

isn't it what u wanted?
also u can try freenx.
If u are talkign about resuming an existing session like winxp, i don't know
how to do it but i believe there is a way to do it in linux as well. One
more thing, winxp can only allow one remote desktop, sucks big time.

if freenx is necessary, search FreeNX session suspend/resume

Well, considering how slow VNC is, FreeNX is good enough. :) I get like one
disconnect every 30 hours of nonstop using it. And the chance of not able to
resume that session is quite low. |

I change /etc/sysconfig/vncservers, and it requires you must start from 1,
which means port 5900+1, if you change to 0, VNC client even can not connect
to the server.

但跑个modelsim一不小心就hang during display update。

人来说，太痛苦了 -- 那真是能够感觉到 0.1 秒以下的差异的。而直接 ssh -X 过去就

在学校查阅文献的时候，我们用google scholar。里面有一个很好的功能就是能和本学
校的图书馆挂钩，直接找到文献的电子版本，可是家里的电脑就不能了，这个问题很头疼
其次，我们很多时候要运行license的软件，很多软件在学校的防火墙后面。
还有，学校的vpn在linux上面总是罢工，折腾起来太麻烦。
活人不能让尿憋死，我采用两个dd-wrt的结构，把学校的电脑加入到家里的网络里面，
通过设置网关，也保证了家里电脑虚拟加入学校网络，嘿嘿
硬件要求：两个dd-wrt v24-sp1 vpn的router，家里运行服务器，在学校运行客户，这
样可以绕过学校的防火墙。
经坚定，非常可靠，保证连接速度，现在ssh ftp vpn vnc统统自由了。呵呵 |
