somehow involves Intel. "Somehow"--because neither parties (Dell, Intel) nor
SEC has discussed about it.

在过去几个世纪中，新彗星的发现不是无数彻夜观测的成果，便是无意间抬头所见的传奇
。彗星是唯一可以用发现者命名的天体，多少人顶着刺骨的寒风投入新彗星的搜寻，为的
便是能在天空冠上自己的名字。Hale-Bopp、百武 (Hayakutake) 与 Shoemaker-Levy 彗
星......，就是这样被发现的。
不过近来新出现的彗星名字似乎千篇一律，不是 "LINEAR" 就是 "NEAT"，很少再出现发
现者的名字了。主要是因为自动化观测的程度提高，计算机控制望远镜逐一搜寻天空每个
角落，找出所有的彗星、近地小行星等移动的天体。以今年来说，从一月到八月中旬，自
动望远镜便找到了十八颗新彗星，但是经由人工观测发现的却为零。这对业余观测者来说
真是一件令人沮丧的事，因为人力似乎永远不及计算机。但是上周末，一位天文爱好者证
实了业余者仍有挑战自动化观测的实力，并不是所有的彗星都得叫 "LINEAR"，Petriew

他树敌很多，发paper总是比较strunggle。也听说他耐心一般，也不是care 发大paper
，最后paper也就不折腾，搞个PNAS什么的。
其实已经功成名就的大老板science上已经没有什么追求了，去他的lab不一定能发好
paper。选他还不如选新兴的 innate immunity faculty比如Dan stetson, Greg
Barton, Russell Vance. |

得第一次值班时的胆战心惊,好在他们的护士都很出色，我基本都是先问他们咋办，那
时连vanc trough是何物都不知道！！现在最不愿意cover 骨髓移植的病人和肿瘤的病
人，因为这些病人都很重，经常要转到ICU.我最多一晚被call 100次。呵呵，下个月开
始就要独立收病人了，又是个新的挑战！俺们这里的记录是收24个病人！！希望不要让
我碰上，得赶紧和ER的resident搞好关系！！ |

encounter that I need to base on fast kill and slow kill to make antibiotics
selection, Oncology maybe. I will need to look into that. Vancomycin is
slower bacterial killing when compared to nafacillin in MSSA infection.
Therefore, when someone is having S aureus endocarditis pending
susceptibility,some of the physician will use both vanc and nafacillin to
cover MSSA and MRSA. |
